After a week of leaving do's i am on the edge of the big trip. I have managed to get a flight onto one continent yet booked a hostel on another but apart from that all is good.
The last week has left me tired and emotional seeing off various friends, family and work mates and i am deeply looking forward to meeting some new travellers that i have no emotional attachment to so i can leave them without feeling a little bit sad when i do.
I was given many fine final words and a number of wise peices of sage advice before i left including how i had better make the most of the western home comforts as i'll soon be sleeping in some really rough places. These were the words of Warren Strobridge as he stepped over my body lying prone in Bishops hallway at 9am on Sunday morning.
