We went to Berlin with a fairly open mind and really enjoyed the opportunity to learn some history. History wasn't on either of our favourite subject lists.

Berlin is an amazing city which is changing rapidly. We stayed in the East and you can just feel the change that is happening there.

We did a fantastic tour of the city which was very worthwhile as it was on this that we learnt so much about Hitler, the Berlin wall and the city since it came down.

We also found the food fantastic in Berlin. A little embarrassed to say that we ate both Indian and Thai while there and it was some of the best we'd ever had.

We stayed in the Jewish Quarter and recommend it as it is close to lots of great restaurants and some of the important landmarks
