Tamlyn's HomeBarcelona 2002Poking around in Barcelona
Well, an aquarium is an aquarium. But it was fun and I took the opportunity to do lots of stupid, childish things.
The pictures can tell the Gaudi story. Vaughn was in his element.
Pedestrian views just walking on the street, or snaps taken sitting on the bus, are beautiful. It’s a really lovely city, although it makes me sad, reminding me of some Pretoria/Cape Town hybrid with its Jacarandas and ocean view. In a sense, Barcelona makes me nostalgic for a home that’s not really our home right now. Sigh.
The Miro gallery is fantastic, particularly the mercury sculpture, which I stare at for ages. I didn’t know Miro had done so many (well, any, in fact!) tapestries, and it’s interesting to see his progression as an artist.
