Florida...Miami & Vero Beach

Miami & Vero Beach |

I arrived in Miami and was met by my mum and dad which was really nice because I hadn't seen them for close to a month.
It had been a big day for all of us because they had flown from New York and I had come from L.A so we went out for dinner and all got an early night.
The next day we got up and did some site seeing aswell as checked out all the damage the hurricane that hit Florida had caused (we had arrived about 3 days after it had stopped) It was really sad because it had done ALOT of damage and all the beautiful palm trees were being held up with supports ect.
It was a lazy day and we went to the beach and just did tourist stuff.
It was the 31st of October (Halloween) so we caught up with the bridal party and headed to a popular street of Miami. We sat outside as it was a really nice night and all had a meal and some drinks. It was a Halloween festival and there were bands playing and heaps happening.
Then the next day we all drove up to VERO BEACH it was probably about a 4hour drive but we had one of those computer navigators (GPS) and she became a very good friend of ours whilst travelling because U.S roads can be very scary!
We arrived at this exclusive country club and checked in and headed to our suite that we were sharing with my auntie and uncle.
I cant even begin to explain what this place was like....It was breath taking! Each suite gets 2 golf buggies to drive around the club in because it was huge. It had a massive golf course, horse stables and track, Its own beach, Swimming pool, Gym and just anything else you could ask for.
That night we had a welcome dinner which the brides father put on it was a BBQ with far to many lovely cocktails.
The next day more people had arrived for the wedding from America so we spent the day by the pool and some of the men went to play golf. Andre the bride's dad decided that the BBQ went so well the previous night that we should all have another dinner together and more cocktails!!
The day before the wedding everyone included in the wedding was at rehersal so mum and I headed into town to get our nails done and to have a look through the shops then headed back for some more time by the pool (life's hard).
We all got ready and headed to the rehersal dinner which was being held by the groom's family...yep you guessed it more food and more cocktails. As the wedding was the following day the bride decided to have an early night with us girls (well that didnt happen) we all went back to her room where we took about 5 bottles of wine and before you knew it we were all dancing on tables and getting very drunk.
THE WEDDING. It was a gorgeous sunny day so in th morning we caught a little more sun and then all the bridesmaids went to get their hair and make-up done. We headed to the chapel..in our golf buggies of course at about 3pm.
It was a beautiful ceremony, not to long and even a couple of jokes in there too. As soon as we got outside we were handed mini champayne bottles to get the party started and someone had decorated the bride and grooms golf buggie with "just married" it was so cute and the great thing about the golf buggies (u could drink and drive) haha.
We headed over to the reception while the bride had her photo's and then when they were all finished all sat down to a 4 course meal. The night was fantastic and finished at about 3am when the bands went home and people began to stagger. Us young ones headed over to the disney resort to carry on drinking where the groom and some of the other guests were staying.
The next morning we all headed back to the country club with sore heads and were served a beach brunch. It was beautiful the sun was shining there was a buffet and everyone was very relaxed.
We spent another night and then headed back to Miami.
Our last day in Miami we did some last minute shopping and went to Versace's house.
Then we were off to VEGAS!
