It was like the end of the school holidays today as we finally gave back the campervan and loaded the rucksacks onto our backs again for the rest of the trip. We got the bus into Wellington city centre and dumped the bags in the hostel room. Now that we had finished with the Satnav we decided to send it and a few other things back to the UK to lighten the load again. We had some lunch and went on the Wellington cable car up to the top of the hill. We thought it would take a while but we were there in about 2 minutes. We had a quick look around the cable car museum and went to the observatory to see the telescope etc. We had a few cups of tea and coffee and then went back to observatory to see the planetarium show which was mainly about the stars in the southern hemisphere. Did you know that Orion was upsidedown in New Zealand? We then headed back to the hostel for a shower before going out for an Indian to celebrate our anniversary (I know it was yesterday), had a couple of drinks and walked back in the rain to the hostel.
