London, England |

This city amazed me. I was very excited to be in London. Everything from the black cabs, old statues the fountains, the properness and royalty feel.. I love London. There public transit system is something else.. like no where else I've ever been. It will boggle your mind! Their subway map looks like a spider web!

The city is great if you want to visit a many sites. I saw Trafalgar Square (loved it!!), Big Ben, Went on the London Eye, Saw London Bridge & Tower of London, Went though Hyde Park many times, Kensington Park, Saw Kensington Palace, Buckingham Palace, Buckingham Court, Pickadily Circus (wow!) etc..

During my stay in London, I hopped hostels alot because I was there more than once and really just wanted the cheapest I could find each night. I likely stayed in about 5 different places. Mostly closest to Bayswater subway station.. there are alot of hostels up that way.

I loved the weather in London too. It would rain for about 2 minutes and then be sunny.. sun showers were beautiful! I Love London England, it's likely my favourite city in the world. I look forward to going back.

Yesterday we arrived in London and rode the subway to our hostel. Luckily we didn't get lost and it didn't take long to find. We're booked into a room with 5 bunk beds. We've met a couple of nice girls from Australia and a guy from Scottland. We met up with a friend of my sisters and we went to alot of places on the first day. We walked through Kensington Park and saw Kensington Palace too. We wandered around a bit and then hopped on a double decker and rode up to Piccadilly circus which was great. It's a busy 6 way intersection that's like a mini version of Times Square. We walked to Trafalgar Square from there. I had big expectations. Unfortunately it was being used for a concert of some sort so it wasn't completely open to walk around. Thankfully I'm coming back in a month so I can see it then. We kept on walking and saw Big Ben and stayed by the river during sunset where we could see the millenium wheel.

Today we walked around until we found a reasonably priced internet café. I spent about an hour in there and sent out my first mass update email to my friends. After that we jumped on a random bus and went on a 2 hour ride to the ghettos of London. That was an experience...
We rode the London Eye right at sundown and it was 12.50 pounds to go around once but it takes about 30 mins and you get a birds eye view of London. We came back to the hostel and made dinner, now we're leaving to buy souvenir postcards and to look for a laundromat! Tomorrow is our last full day in London. We hope to see if there is a big city mall before we fly to Paris on Monday.
