THE HOT ADVENTURES OF A NOT COLD BIATCH

Isla del Sol. And stoopid American comments... |

Got up waaaay too early and had to run to try to catch the boat for Isla del Sol - an island talked up big time in the Lonely Planet. As usual Lonely Planet got it kinda wrong but it was a nice day trip.

Spent the day with this funny American guy, Scott, who amused me with stories of stupid things Americans had asked him (cos he worked in a posh hotel in Hawaii). My favourites were:
- Can you see the moon from Hawaii?
- How long does it take to swim under the island?
- What time do you bring the dolphins out? [Keep in mind they are talking about dolphins in the sea, not SeaWorld].
We saw this huuuge pig and the most beautiful little Bolivian girl I have ever seen. I wanted to take her with me! (Okay, I talk about the kids waaay too much but they are just so cute!! And they're all so friendly, not scared at all to talk to people older like kids usually are in Australia. Often, they'll say hello first. I found it so odd when I first arrived.)

Had pizza (mmmmmmmm) with John (also mmmmm).
