Crusing the Med - Fethiye on a Gulet |

One of the coolest parts of our trip - motoring around the Mediterranean on a Gulet (traditional Turkish motorboat). The sun was warm, thw water crystal blue and aquamarine waters and Efes beer on hand ... I could easily spend a summer here.

There's plenty of things to do for the adventurous (and not so adventurous) from para-boarding to riding big inflatable rubber noodles to enjoying the motorised Mr Whippy style cake vendors that ply the harbour hawking cream doughnuts and apple strudels delivered waterside!

The Lycian tombs carved into the rock face at Dalyan are pretty cool. They are only accessible by crossing the river in a pretty leaky row boat. My Indiana Jones moment. Just mind that you bring decent footwear - cos the shale is pretty slippery. Didnt stop mountain goat Wendy (aka Lara Croft) from making it there and back in her jandals though

Locations Visited: Fethiye, Dalyan
