The Long Day Is Over!

After waking at 05:00am I knew I was in for a long day. After saying goodbye to mum at 08:00 Chris got us to the Heathrow by 09:00. Being very early we had to sit around until 10:30 until we could join the check in line. The flight left at 2:00pm and we were relieved to be finally off. The flight was good apart from the odd bit of turbulance and we arrived at JFK at 09:00pm UK time 4ish New York time. After going around the Air Port twice on the Air Train we eventually found ourselves at the Subway terminal at Jamacia and starting making our way into Manhatten. Again we had a bit of trouble finding the connecting subway to 96th street but eventually arrived at the hostel at 7:00pm NY time completely dripping in sweat and dead on our feet. My rucksack weighed a tonne and I will have to reduce it down before we go any further. The hostel lost our reservation and we were worried we wouldn't have anywhere to stay but they eventually found it and we had the key to our 'very' basic room. Starving we had a Macdonalds and went to bed at 09:00pm (1:30 UK time)very very tired.
