Heater Hunting

Wellington |

We left Wanganui at 8:15am after the normal moring routine of showers and breakfast and headed for Wellington. We are coming back here at the end of the tour to drop the van off before we fly to Sydney but we decided to come here because it is close to the ferry terminal and we have an early crossing tomorrow (Friday). We arrived at about 12 noon and went into the campervan branch here to complain about our van and especially about the heater which was throwing out blue sparks everytime we used it. The guy told us to go into town and buy a new one and they will re-emburse us. As we parked up in the site Lucy befriended the local ducks and birds etc and throw them bread again. We got the bus into lower Hutt which is the nearest town and searched for a new heater. The most consistent reply to our request was 'we've sold out and as its now spring we won't be getting any more'. We eventually found a shop that had one and we got some bread and milk and headed back.
