Climate Change Conference in Colorado

Keystone Colorado |

I was fortunate to be asked by my principal to go to the Climate Change conference in Keystone Colorado for 5 days. All expenses paid. So of course I went, since it is an area of interest to me as well.
Keystone is a resort village about 2 hours outside of Denver and is fairly close to Aspen and Vale. It's somewhat like Kananaskis except bigger. And with more trees (Aspens of course! Which were a brillant gold when we were there).
It was a pretty sleepy quiet little place to spend a relaxing weekend but I can only imagine how crazy busy it is there during peak season.
When I first arrived in Denver I caught a shuttle bus to Keystone with some fellow teachers who were also there for the conference. One of those collegues was Erin, the only other Canadian in attendance. She was from Edmonton. And of course just to reinforce silly stereotypes ("hey you're from Canada, do you know Bob?") it turned out that she works with a girl that I used to work with at the Saddledome many years ago. If that wasn't enough of a coincidence, she also works with someone that I had a class with at the university. Very small world.
