South Africa 2004

Start in Cape Town | 13 Dec 2004

After a long flight from Heathrow via Frankfurt my brother and me arrive at 8:15 a.m. to Cape Town International Airport. Weather is great and hot already so early morning. Our contact was already there waiting for us (my friend Kevin I met a year ago at work). We picked up pre-booked car at Europcar booth (Toyotta Corolla with absolutely neccessary AC) and followed Kevin's car to his place in Durbanville, which will be our base camp for next 3 nights.

My brother was driving and it was his first experience with driving at the left side, so the first few miles was quite an adventure. The ride took about half-an-hour and there we are at Kevin's place meeting his relatives. After a short chat and a shower we took a 3 hours' nap to regain some energy after the nearly sleepless night.
