THE HOT ADVENTURES OF A NOT COLD BIATCH

3 xxx |

The day was much the same as yesterday. Massage, puzzles, juice (mmmm), shopping.

Had Spanish lesson - my Spanish has really improved. My teacher´s name is Yanette - she´s 28 and going out with this 22 year-old guy. She´s quite conservative I think and the way I´m learning is basically just through conversation so I can ask her heaps and heaps of stuff about Peru and about the culture and everything and I´m learning more than just Spanish! It´s excellenté.

Went to dinner with Leah - very very cheap and mmmm good. Mushroom soup and chicken burrito. Yeah yeah. Leah (I just wrote Leach accidentally but I think it may stick...) had this amazing avocado soup - never heard of it before but DANG it was good!

I seem to spend about half my time talking about food but when Yanette asked me what I ate while on the Inca Trail, all I could remember was popcorn! But damn the popcorn was good... =)

Leah taught me a new phrase that everyone must use - instead of saying ´Chick Drink´, you must say ´Bitch Beer´. I wrote it down immediately for future reference. And I can´t remember whether or not I´ve said that my new phrase is ´I´m taking that to the streets´ when I see or hear something hot and hot and definitely not cold (Rayne´s already using it - CALIENTE!), but Leah said that I can also say it when I feel passionately about something, as in I´m gonna picket on the streets for my cause. So, as I´m disappointed in the attitude that men have towards women here (ie. treating them like the lumps of roast lamb they eat for dinner), I´m taking my cause to the streets. Only one problem, dunno how...

Anyway, we drank this drink that I bought the other night called 3xxx (not sure how it´s supposed to be said). It´s this 1.75litre plastic bottle of some mixed drink and looked dirrrrty but that´s the just way I like it so I bought it (and it cost me about $1.50). It has all these nasty girls all over the label. I´ll upload my photo of it soon. You may have to go off by yourself for a little while after seeing it.

We headed out to dance salsa salsa and it was bastante caliente. I´m learning to trust my instincts with people a little more and it´s working out well for me.

I just realised that this ring I bought a couple of days ago is falling off my finger. I keep losing weight!!

I received an email from lil Nicky who is in Puno and missing me dreadfully (well you better be Nickypot!!). It included the song that we wrote for the Hot Americans. So I finally have a copy.

Nicky:
¨Right, think "black eye´d peas, think me and angie on stage with great lighting and a huge crowd, and maybe that smoke stuff for added mood.

¨Title "Glam up"

¨To be sung to the tune of "Shut up by the Black eye´d peas...apologies we are no musicians and buses are not the best place to carry musical instruments (not that we can play any...well maybe the recorder)....we were already getting intrigued looks from the equadorian and peruvian peeps sat around us as we practised the lyrics out loud.....good times!

Glam up, just glam up, glam up,
Glam up, just glam up, glam up...

We´re tryna be so hot, but sometimes we are not,
so we need a case with wheels, and some scented facial peels,

And we´re tryna keep it glam, but its feelings of the worst, and we´re ugly...
...we need Mark and Raynie...
I think our skin is flakey!

Glam up, just glam up, glam up,
Glam up, just glam up, glam up...

Babes, our glam ie dieing...
But we won´t stop trying...
We used to be such lookers...now we look like hookers.

THE END¨

Perhaps not literary genius but we were tired and hungover and concentrating very very hard on getting through four hours without our stomachs telling us they´d had enough and vomiting all over eachother. So it really was quite romantic.
