I didn't spend enough time in Madrid. I feel like I was recooperating from Barcelona the whole time! (haha) I remember specifically being very pleased with the hostel I stayed at in Madrid, so if you're going.. I highly recommend a place downtown called 'Mucho Marid'. It's fabulous.. (free internet, big beds, free locker, private washrooms, free breakfast etc).
I was only in Madrid for 2 nights, so really I just spent most of the time there wondering the streets, shopping and going out one night with some people we met up with whom we originally met in Barcelona! The city was good to us, but we didn't milk it for what it was worth.
