Ancient Egypt Trip, Piramid

Kiev, Capital of Ukraine |

We only spent one day in Kiev due to the need to transit to Egypt.

Kiev was the capital and the largest city of Ukraine.

We took train from Simferopol at 3.30pm and reached Kiev the next day at 7 in the morning.

Kiev's metro was the most convenient transportation in town. You only need to pay Hrivna 0.50 which was US$0.10 (as per current exchange rate).

We had lunch at a Chinese Restaurant. We recommend you to try Ukrainian food at Damashni Kuhnia. It was located at Ploshad Maidan. Their national foods were 'Borcht' soup and Deruny (Ukrainian Potato Pancakes). I had tried it on the other day. It was delicious and the price was reasonable.

We visited Kievba Pechersk Lavra church to see the priests’ mummy. It was the Christian Orthodox church.

We had a walk at Ploshad Maidan. An interesting place!
