Got people on board to a hike with our irresistable charm and good looks.
Met up for lunch with a friend Kristian had met in Ecuador, Piers. He made up a few random asian names in one of his stories and they all seemed to be named Fanny which was most odd because Fanny had never struck me as a particularly asian sort of name (though Bron, you may disagree after referring to a ´box´ as Asian? Coincidence, I think so). This was funny at the time. But when, later, we wandled (hehe Ollie, remember?) over to the Tourist Information Office only to be warmly greeted by a lovely Peruvian woman named Fanny, I almost lost it.
A few hours later, Kristian headed off to the supermarket as I shuffled back to the room. He returned, proudly brandishing a can of ´Fanny´ tuna. It turns out Fanny manufactures and sells everything here in Huaraz. Sam runs all the restaurants - there was Chifa Sam, Sammy's the chicken place, and another restaurant called Sam. Considering it's my favourite name in the whole world... HOT.
