...I Digress, Mr. Blair |

So since I registered yesterday, sorta, not really. I didn't have to get up early to go and do that. Instead I got up earlier to go with my Dad to have some medical tests ran. Thankfully after 2 1/2 hours and two tests, his bill of health is still an 'A'.

Afterwards we came back home and hung out until I left for Kameko's party. Kameko Jones, is a friend of Byron's (20/30 TLC) who is here working for NBC. She was celebrating her 23rd birthday.

I met up with her and her friends around 8pm at this Restaurant/Lounge/Club called Digress Soho. Digress is right in the heart of the city at Picadilly Circus and is owned by a black guy which is pretty cool. Kameko's friends are cool too. They come from all walks of life and were great conversationalists.

One of her friends is a researcher for the Conservative political party. So I spent a pretty long time drilling him with questions about Politics in the UK and his party vs. the Labour Party (which is the one that Prime Minister Tony Blair is apart of). Everyone at the table agreed that Tony Blair's speech yesterday was incredible and now the British are all second-guessing themselves about wanting him to step down. I missed the speech (I'm gonna look for it on YouTube or something) but one thing's for sure, I'm still impressed that the people's voice does matter here, and everywhere else for that matter except the U.S. Apparently, the Brits want him to step down because he promoted going to war under the Weapons of Mass Destruction tale. As we all know, through the news, there were no WMDs and the people aren't pleased. The Labour party will still be in office for the next 4 years (since Blair was re-elected last year) but Blair has to step down. Wow...politics. And Blair is the only Labour party member to ever be in office this long. So the Labour party is not trying to let him damage their party's success in the eyes of the public. Man, gotta hear that speech.
