Bridge Over Foggy Waters

City Tours |

Today we had booked ourselves on a combination bus tour. We got up and had bagles at the hostel watched by a seagull through the window. We then waited outside for the bus to pick us up which it did at about 8:15am and went round all the hotels picking up others. It then dropped us off at the tour office and we got our first tickets to go and see Muir Woods and the villiage of Sausalito. To get there we passed George Lucas's new Industrial Light and Magic campus at Pasedeo and we had to cross the Golden Gate Bridge which was good. Muir woods was up in the mountains and it is a national monument where ancient groves of giant redwood trees grow. After that we headed down to a villiage called Sausalito where we only had time to get something to eat and go to the toilet so I can't tell you much about it but it looked nice driving out of it. We then stopped above the bridge for a birds eye view. In the afternoon we got a much bigger bus to go round the city which was 3 1/2 hours long and was really good. We saw Golden Gate Bridge from below, Golden Gate Park where a squirrel enjoyed one of my doritos, Twin peaks mountain, a beach on the Pacific and some famous houses called the painted ladies. When the bus dropped us off we went to pier 39 where sea lions live in the harbour. We somehow made our way back to the hostel, Lucy did some washing and we went to bed because we are getting up early tomorrow to see Alcatraz.
