Weekend Trip - Frankfurt | 09 Mar 2006

Frankfurt was a bit of a different trip for us...and a cheap one at that! We stayed with Kendra's cousin in a delightful house with her German boyfriend. So we had the home feeling with local flavour. There is not much to see in Frankfurt. Most of the city was destroyed in the war so it is all new and very "city" feeling so we did not spend much time there. We went to the town of Hiedleberg and ventured around there one day. We also went with Karen and Riajo to Budingen and Saalburg the other two days. Both towns were small in quaint full of delicious treats and hiking in the hills and mountains. It was nice to be with people that spoke the language b/c it would be very easy to order big brain or something off the menu if you didn't know what you were getting. We had a very relaxing weekend full of authentic homecooked German meals...as well as some american ones.
