Wow. Las Ramblas, the central market street of Barcelona is breathtakingly vibrant with its traders selling flowers and exotic live birds; with street performers drawing crowds almost as if we are still in medieval times. It’s something like Covent Garden, but much friendlier and less formal.

The food market is another experience, particularly the butcher’s shop selling rabbit carcasses signposted by a cute cartoon rabbit. I try to buy cherries, but you have to buy a kilo at a time.
