'If your going to San Francisco be sure to change your Canadian dollars into U.S dollars'
| The hotel phone rang at 3am but I was already awake. I never sleep when I know I have to get early. The courtesy bus picked us up at 4:15am and we were at the airport at 4:30. We joined the Quantas queue and we were given a flight on Alaska Airlines to San Francisco. Strangley the US customs and immigration is in Vancouver airport and we had to take our shoes off at security. After some breakfast we took off at 7:10am and arrived in San Francisco at 09:15am. We took the sky train to the subway and 12 stops later we were in downtown San Francisco. We couldn't check in until 2pm so we went to buy our Greyhound tickets to Las Vegas for Wednesday. At 2pm we checked in to the HI hostel and went to our room which has a sink, bunkbed and an overwhelming smell of urine. We went out for a coffee and bought some Fabreeze and an air freshener. Tomorrow we are going on a city tour and a visit to Muir woods which has large redwood trees. |
