After Finals...

Edinburgh Trip |

I decided to travel up to Edinburgh straight after I finished my last exam (ok... after doing a load of overdue washing up). I arrived at home to be greeted by a chinese takeaway, and Mum, Dad and Jenny.

On Friday, I had a coffee with Granny, then met up with Nicole for coffee in town. It poured with rain, and was incredibly cold. Then it was time for Jenny's 21st birthday party. Mum and Dad had a great time, and there was an inflatable bouncey castle boxing ring thing.

Saturday, and after the traditional bacon rolls at Granny's, and a bit of tidying up after Jenny's party, Mum, Dad and I decided to go up north. We had lunch in Callendar (aka Gateway to the Highlands) and did a bit of shopping. Then we took the scenic route back, stopping off at the Falkirk wheel. This is nearly impossible to describe, but is basically a lock on the Edinburgh-Glasgow Canal, but the height is so great it acts a a lift. Instead of moving up and down vertically, it rotates. If I've confused you, have a look at:
