13 go to the Lakes | 30 Apr 2005

Remind me never to organise a holiday for 13 people ever again... Only joking (well, almost) - this was a fantastic weekend and worth all the hard work of trying to organise this unruly bunch. After weeks of increasingly frantic email exchange, 13 of us made it to the Lake District where we spent the weekend in a stunning house on the edge of Ullswater.

There were two main aims to the weekend: to celebrate Calan's birthday (in style, as you can see from the pics) and to run a half marathon (also completed in style by me, Calan and Yiannis). Many thanks to Marcin for the bike-side support!

Thank goodness for your extreme organisational skills or it would never have come to fruition. If anyone needs a friend who throws super birthday parties, Rachel's your girl! - Not too shabby a runner either (when priorities are in tact and the focus in place). By the way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!
