SAN SALVADOR DE JUJUY

Jujuy, is the capital of one of Argentinina´s smallest and poorest provinces.

After a mamouth bus ride from Mendoza. We arrived In Jujuy at 9am. Jujuy had a shabby slightly run down feel to it compared to Mendoza.

The bus ride was enternaining as we got to watch The Bourne Identity in Spanish, a mad Argentinian Film and my favourite film of all time Cellular (again). Thats a joke by the way.

Looking at guide we decide to check out Residencial Los Andes. Residencial Los Andes was three blocks from the bus station so we didnt have far to walk. A double room was 25pesos for the both of us, which was a lot cheaper than we expected.

Tom and i have always decided to choose the cheapest bus, Semi-cama which means that you never really ride comfortable. After just over 20hrs on the bus we have decided that any future lonbg distant bus rides we would go Coche-Cama, a bit more exspensive but really worth it. After eventually catching up with some sleep we went in to Jujuy`s main town. Just over the Rio Xibi Xibi was more like the hustle and bustle we had been use to over the last 5 days.

Opposite Plaza Belgrano was Juju`s Iglesa Catherdral (1763) insiude was a gold laminated Spanish baroque pulpit, which was built by local artisans under a European master. In a small next to the church was Paseo de Los Artesanos. A colourful arts market. We had a quick look around the stalls and i tried on a funky pair of trousers, Unfortunatly they were a bit short in the leg. Hopefully i can find some in Bolivia.

Later on we found a an internet Cafe and it it was good a sad news. Colchester had to win or draw to get promoted to The Championship. It was an intense wait as Tom logged on to the Col U website but it was shear delight when we saw the result. A nil nil draw had meant promotion.

UP THE U'S UP THE U'S UP THE U'S

The sad part was that i decided to book my ticket home. Not leaving til the 26 of june so got plenty of time left. After the interent we walked around the town desperately trying to find a bar after an hour we had found nothing. Luckily or unluckily for me when came across a pool and snooker hall. After three hours of pool and 3 litres of beer Tom beat me 12-4 meaning that in our South American pool table Tom is winning 103-77. Shocking.

As we were staying in a hotel we were unable to cook our own dinner so for dinner we ate at Chung King here we had a lovely pizza with Chillies, Olives and .

We finished the night of
