Flaming Hampshire

Alf and I decided to make a weekend of it and got up early to spend some time in Winchester, the historic capital of Wessex and therefore of England when the Danes laid waste to the other Anglo-Saxon Kingdoms in the early medieval period...

After visiting the Great Hall, castle ruins and law courts, we met up with Liz and James at the Cathedral, before heading to the Royal Oak, England's oldest pub!
