Don't diss the NHS |

Obviously we had a lie in after yesterdays capers and we were late getting ourselves together. Lucys ear was still giving her gip so she called the insurance and they gave us a surgery to go to. It was a long walk in the blistering heat but we eventually found it. We were there at 2pm and we didn't get out until 3:30pm. In America, for some reason, an ear infection requires a full medical before a prescription can be written. Thinking the insurance would cover everything we headed for pharmacy on the way into town as it was now about 6pm. Lucy handed over the prescription and the documents for the insurance.

Pharmacist: 'Sorry we can't accept that here you will have to pay then claim it back'.

Us: 'OK, how much will it be?' pulling $20 from the wallet.

Pharmacist: 'That will be $96 please'.

Us: 'Whaaatttt???'.

The smallest bottle of ear drops i have ever seen appeared and we were on our way a few pennies lighter.

We then caught the double decker bus that goes down the strip and got off at Luxor to slowly make our up the strip. We were on our way out of one place when we were stopped by a woman who started asking us questions. It turns out by turning up on Saturday for 2 to 3 hours to look at a timeshare we could have 2 tickets to Mama Mia for $10 each. You would have thought we would have walked away thinking it was a con but we will do it on the proviso that they do not take our passports or take our credit card number. If they attempt to do either of those we will walk away so don't worry.

Tomorrow we are off the the Grand Canyon to see it by air and then we will be visiting the Hoover Damm.

Locations Visited: Las Vegas
