Lake Tekapo | 23 Nov 2006

Thankfully, we were only in Plymouth, I mean Dunedin for one night and our next stop was beautiful Lake Tekapo. It felt like we were back in New Zealnd again!
Lake Tekapo is an amazing blue lake with views across to Mt. Cook and the Southern Alps. It's a tiny village with not much to do, but a perfect place to chill out for one night on the way back to Christchurch. We did plan to go kayaking on the lake, but although it was a nice sunny day, it was way too windy and unfortunately it got cancelled.
In the evening, the bus driver had organised a barbecue for everyone on the bus where we got chatting to some really cool people who are all going to be in Sydney for Christmas/New Year's eve, so we may all meet up again!

WOW!! What amazing scenery. I must say Congrats to Scott for throwing himself off the bridge very brave!! New Zealand looks like an amazing place and dont worry Jenni i would have been the same on the glacier:) Look forward to more pics of your journey, we also had very bad down pours over here at the weeekend, i still made it to camden to get my dress though!!:) Take Care, Speak Soon.
