The first stops in Sydney were tea with Kiril’s grandparents and dinner with his sister and brother-in-law (plus playing with his nephew, Hamish). We stayed the next three nights with his cousin, Marianne, in Manly, where we finally managed another morning on the beach and a delicious seafood lunch at a beachside restaurant. We visited the Art Gallery of New South Wales, the Botanic Gardens (with a second viewing of the opera house for me) and Taronga zoo, accompanied by Hamish (1) and Aidan (2), though I still think the money was on me for ‘person having the most fun’. As well as dinner with some friends of Kiril’s (Hatch and Jane), we met up on another night with a bunch of family and friends (a mixture of mine and Kiril’s).
