I quit smoking and get a pub job in Mitcham. A few months in a pub of rascists
with dishonest landlords and I flee to the sanity of London's west end. I discover tourists, working in a pub in Leicester square. I try out Hemmel Hamstead and hate it. I return to Leicester square, but to a different pub. I am seduced by a pair of leather trousers worn by a new barmaid.
