Fresh Air and Country Smells - Peak District
As part of the attempt to get fit campaign we headed up to Hathersage for a weekend. We stayed at a fabulous B and B called The Winnats. We had a fantastic room with our own ensuite, we got fed glorious organic menued breakfasts - it was just what we needed, a pampered weekend.
On Saturday, we headed off on a 45km ride around the back of Ladybower. The scenery was beautiful and we were lucky to have a glorious day for it. At the end of the 45km's we were starting to feel a little tired though.
On Sunday we headed off for a walk around the town and to go look at Little John's grave.... there are mixed opinions as to whether it is the real Little John but apparently they have measured the thigh bone and it is long enough to belong to a giant man. |
