Flaming Hampshire

"Burning things is always fun" was how Alf summed up the evening... it's an accurate, if somewhat worrying assessment. Having built the bonfire, we were alarmed to see it had completely burnt down within 45 minutes, worrying because it was bitterly cold and we needed the fire to keep warm! Some wise rationing thereafter ensured we had a warming fire till we went to bed at 1!

The rest of the evening was spent playing wide-games in the dark, talking round the campfire about the melting point of water and of course lighting fireworks!
