Weekend Trip - Munich | 16 Mar 2006

Munich was a great place to spend St. Paddy's day! After all it is the beer capital of the world!! The beer and the sausages were delicious, and believe me I had plenty of both. Duck and Pig Knuckle were probably the oddest combination but were still suprising delicious! We did a bierhaus crawl which included Augustiner Braustuberl, Hofbrauhaus, Augustiner Neuhauserstr, and the Augistiner Keller. All delightful and all enjoyable. We also saw the Glockanspiel (old coo coo clock) that is wound by hand every day and hasn't been tuned in over 100 year. And it sounded like it too. We also visited the olympic park (scene for the new movie about the munich games) and the BMW museum headquarters and museum. We also took a day trip to Neuschwanstein Castle, which is the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Castle and also the inspiration for Cinderella's castle in Walt Disney World (special connection for linda, mom, gram, mary beth, jt and i...oh those character breakfasts with slutty jasmin, and skanky ariel!!) anyway...the castle was in the old town of Fussen which was a lot of fun too. Old shops and traditional outfits were the highlight!
