Nights of Jerez Flamenco Festival 2004
| The second time I went to Jerez for the was with the lovely Jaal - a fellow Loco del Flamenco. After seeing each night aproximatly 2 shows, we went off looking for the real stuff -the Flamenco of the night, the jam sessions - or as they are known -the juergas. this yeat they mainly took place in Peña Don Chacon, where, from 1am to 6am you would see and listen to some of the greatest Flamenco artists fooling around, playing and dancing their best stuff for them selfs - and for us, the die hard fans... we saw many great people, and took pictures of a few when we felt they were not looking... on the very last night, exhausted from it all, we sat out in Plaza Real, on two broken chairs, and tried to digest and make sense of it all.. by the way, if anyone is a motorbikes fan, one of the largest motorbike races in Europe happen in jerez evrey year, it is also the city where sherry comes from, and the bodegas are amazing, the it is famous for its horse trails, and the Mai Feria. |
